Jack & Beth White
Melody Kennels
|
Melody Kennels began in 1963 when a young Jack White received permission from his commanding officer to have a dog with him at the military stables at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, where he was training horses. The dog he purchased, a Green Starr-bred bitch named Calculator's Miss Sincerity, came to be the mascot of the stables when he discovered the appeal of Dalmatians along with their natural affinity for horses. "Sindy" was bred to Ch Long Last Ripcord and produced Ch Melody Sweet CD, who became a multiple Specialty and Group winner, and was also the Top Producing Bitch in the breed for many years. From this foundation bitch, Melody Kennels grew to be a recognized name in the dog show world. Beth joined Jack in 1971 and together
they have enjoyed the sport of dogs, winning BOB at the Canadian,
American and Mexican national specialties, as well as many Groups and
specialty BISS. All Melody dogs are house pets, always owner handled,
and those that live at Rim
Rock Ranch, the site of Melody
Kennels in Fort Collins, compete for CD titles. Beth is also
extensively involved in Dalmatian Rescue and feels that her time should be devoted to
saving good Dalmatians that are in shelters everywhere. |
